Join us on Sunday, December 8th for our 2024 Historic Athens Holiday Gala: Cobbham by Candlelight. It will be an evening of history, community, and holiday festivities. This year's event is set in the Cobbham Historic District and will feature exclusive access to beautifully appointed homes, a curated auction, food, beverages, and much more.

The Main Event
General ticket holders are invited to the Main Event from 5:30 to 9:00 PM, where you can explore the beautifully restored historic homes of the Cobbham Historic District. As you tour these iconic properties, enjoy food prepared by Epting Events and an open bar of wines selected by The Lark Winespace. Take part in a silent auction featuring unique items and experiences.
Free Trolley Service
We are thrilled to announce that Athens Trolley Tours will be providing free trolley service during this year’s Historic Athens Holiday Gala! Guests can enjoy convenient and charming transportation throughout Historic Cobbham during the Gala, thanks to a dedicated trolley circulator. This service will make it easy for attendees to explore the neighborhood and experience the beautiful historic homes featured on the tour.
Wine & Whiskey Pull
The Gala will feature an exclusive Wine and Whiskey Pull, offering guests a chance to select a mystery bottle—wine for $30 or whiskey for $50. With options ranging from popular picks to premium finds, this pull, led by sommelier Krista Slater, promises to add excitement to the evening. Presales are available with ticket purchases, and all proceeds benefit Historic Athens.
VIP Reception
As a VIP ticket holder, your evening begins with a private party from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at the Bondurant House (ca. 1905), featuring hors d'oeuvres and specialty spirits. Afterward, enjoy full access to the Main Event from 5:30 to 9:00 PM, including historic home tours, gourmet food, curated wines, and a silent auction. This exclusive experience offers the best of both private and community celebrations.
Add-On: High West Whiskey Tasting at the Old Clarke Jail
Elevate your evening with an exclusive High West Whiskey Tasting. Tastings are offered at 6, 7, and 8 PM, and you can select your preferred time when purchasing your ticket. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tasting. Enjoy a curated selection of premium whiskeys and a guided presentation in this unique, historic setting. Limited spots are available, so reserve early!
