For 25 years, Hands On Historic Athens has been a testament to our belief that historic preservation can be a catalyst for positive change, fostering a community where every individual can experience the pride of homeownership and the security of a thriving environment. Our mission is to revitalize historic homes by providing essential repair and rehabilitation services to homeowners in need, fostering a sense of pride and safety.

Thanks to a partnership with ACC HCD, Hands On Historic Athens provides up to $5k in direct home repairs and maintenance for historic homeowners in need. This program helps to preserve naturally occurring affordable housing, while helping prevent the displacement of the residents that are helping to define the unique character of their neighborhoods.
